Woman arrested after ramming police cars

Police have taken a woman into custody after allegedly ramming two police vehicles and fleeing the scene Sunday night. According to a press release from Okotoks RCMP, units responded to a possible truck theft on Lineham Ave. around 10:35 p.m. Nov.

Police have taken a woman into custody after allegedly ramming two police vehicles and fleeing the scene Sunday night. According to a press release from Okotoks RCMP, units responded to a possible truck theft on Lineham Ave. around 10:35 p.m. Nov. 18, where they located a white pickup truck bearing Ontario plates which came up stolen. The truck reversed into a police cruiser then took off, but was located a short time later. The vehicle proceeded to ram another cruiser before attempting to flee again, flipping onto its side in the process. A female occupant was arrested and transported to hospital with minor injuries. Inside the vehicle, police located an airsoft BB gun and a small axe. Police have charged Brownwyn Hannah-Jane Luckham, 30, of Black Diamond with two counts of dangerous operation of a vehicle, possession of stolen property, and four counts of failure to comply with release conditions. Luckham has been remanded into custody and will be appearing at Okotoks Provincial Court on Nov. 23.
