A stretch of Highway 22 between Turner Valley and Crowsnest Pass have resulted in the highway being closed from Highway 3 north to Highway 533 due to extreme wind conditions.

According to an RCMP media release, the reported 130km/h wind speed in some areas has resulted in several semi roll-overs. Police are advising that drivers of large vehicles hauling trailers consider delaying travel until wind speeds die down.
