An Okotoks mother of two has been identified as the fourth Canadian victim in a mass shooting in Las Vegas.

Tara Roe, 34 years old, was attending the Route 91 Harvest Festival on Oct. 1 with her husband, Zach, when a gunman opened fire from the 32nd floor of the Mandalay Bay Hotel and Casino across the street from the concert.

The couple was separated during the incident and Roe was reported as missing on Oct. 2. According to social media posts, she has been confirmed as one of four Canadians killed in the shooting incident.

A GoFundMe page was set up by Levi Nye to help raise funds for Zach and the couple’s two sons as they deal with their loss. As of 11:30 a.m. Oct. 3 the page had exceeded it’s $2,500 goal and had raised more than $12,000.

“He’s not the kind to ask for help, but Zach would give you the shirt off his back, even if you weren’t the kind to ask for help either,” Nye wrote on the GoFundMe page.

At least 59 people are dead following the Las Vegas shooting, and more than 500 people injured.

Stephen Paddock, 64 years old, was identified as the shooter and found dead in his hotel room.

The incident has been declared the largest mass shooting in United States history.
