We are once again reminded of the generosity of our local merchants. Mark Mueller at AG Foods is providing free memberships to the Sheep River Library for students in Grades 1 to 6 and their families. Check out the resources at our library: access their website or their Facebook page. From all reports, The Wardens was enjoyed to capacity on Oct. 1 The Missus is the next presentation on Oct. 13, followed by Doris and Bruce on the Oct. 15. Remember these presentation are all free, although you need to pick up a ticket prior to the date in question.

Four of us travelled to Carseland on Thursday for their annual bridge tournament. We had a full day, the food was good and you know senior’s love to eat.

The Christmas cactus that Donna gave us before she moved to Airdrie is in full bud and when it bursts into bloom we will all remember how much we miss our feisty friend each time we admire her parting gift. You’ve left a hole in our hearts, my friend.

I hope you all had a special family time on Thanksgiving. We have so very much to be thankful for here in our beautiful Canada.
