Our VNC general meeting is tomorrow, March 1 at 1 p.m.
The board has several items of interest to bring to the general membership so plan to attend if you possibly can. We try to have a bridge game following the meeting, if that is an enticement.
Our club’s annual 80 and over birthday party will be held on May 6 this year.
If you know anyone who is having a significant birthday (80, 85, 90 etc.) this year, please let us know so that we can send you an invitation and order a certificate.
There is a sign-up sheet on our bulletin board or you may call Barb at 403-933-4782.
You do not have to be a VNC member.
Anyone from any of our surrounding districts is welcome.
A farewell tea for Freda and Stu Ewen will be held at the Griffiths Centre on March 4 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Freda and Stu will be moving to Calgary in mid-March, so come out and wish them well.
St. Patrick’s Day dinner at the Griffiths Centre is on March 15. I predict another sell out, so get your tickets soon. Roast beef, as only Bonnie can cook it, will cost $13. It’s the best deal in town.
I’m reading a very interesting book. Good Night from London by Jennifer Robson is about an American journalist in London during the blitz.
