I’ve received some negative feedback concerning my Oct. 4 column.
I said nothing uncomplimentary about the quality of food at our Legion, but when you lose your chef on such short notice there are bound to be some concerns.
I must be more selective in my choice of words.
Our Legion reports their kitchen is operating business as usual and has received positive feedback on the quality of meals provided.
I would be remiss not to recognize the incredible group of dedicated Legion volunteers.
Denis and Don made two back-to-back grand slams on Tuesday.

Tickets for Chicken and Ribs at the Griffiths Centre on Nov. 23 are available to members and guests and may be picked up any breakfast morning.
The last day to purchase tickets is Nov. 21 — if there are any available at that late date.
Our garden club will welcome Louise Bruns on Nov. 9 at 1:30 p.m. With the cold season upon us, Louise will be showing us how to make a special cough remedy.
Remember, if you are a Valley Neighbours member you are automatically a garden club member, so come and join us.
Pick up for Samaritan’s Purse shoe boxes is the week of November 13-19. Drop your boxes off at Valley Neighbours and Virginia will deliver them as she helps pack boxes at the warehouse in Calgary.

Could those who signed up for the Nana Mouskouri concert please have the money in to Mary Anne by Nov. 17 as Dale has to order the tickets before they are sold out.
