Thanks Foothills School Division. Your naming of your Meadow Ridge School for your new facility is going to confuse me. I am an alumnus of Maple Ridge Elementary School. And since K-6 was the highlight of my education, I am for sure going to call the new school Maple Ridge School in the future. Names are tough. I recently did a story on ex-Falcon Joe Koshman, who is now a physiotherapist. His brother Josh was a more recent Falcon. Joe received a constant barrage from me of ‘Hi Josh, Hey Josh, How’s it going Josh? Why are you starting to look mad Josh? He took it well. Those successful families are a pain. Don’t get me started on the Wrestling Watkins. From Germaine to Cael, I think I have covered them all in my 21 years. I have a better chance of beating Reid in an arm-wrestle than getting it right the first time. Thank goodness Remy covers the hockey Krebs — Dru, Peyton and Dakota. There’s also the talented country singer Maddison Krebs — the Double D would drive me mad. And hey, enough Foothills already. I am looking forward to the day when I write: ‘Foothills MP John Barlow and Foothills Reeve Larry Spilak joined Foothills division chairman Larry Albrecht in celebrating the modernization of Foothills Composite High School. ‘Entertainment was provided by the Foothills Philharmonic, Foothills Men’s Choir and members of the Foothills Music Society in Okotoks, near the foothills.’ Fhooey.
