Okotoks RCMP have made three arrests on Jan. 10 in collaboration with Calgary police following a late-December break-in near Spruce Meadows.
The RCMP general duty, General Investigative Section, and Crime Reduction Unit worked with the Calgary Police Service's Centralized Break and Enter Unit to execute a search warrant at a residence in the Huntington area of northwest Calgary.
A significant number of items stolen from the Spruce Meadows area residence during a break-in between Dec. 23 and 29 in 2017 were recovered in the Jan. 10 bust, valued at approximately $1 million.
A 58-year-old male was arrested at the scene without incident and remains in custody of the Okotoks RCMP pending charges and bail hearing for two counts of possession of stolen property over $5,000 and three counts of unauthorized use of credit card.
Two females aged 31 and 32 years old were also arrested at the scene without incident. Both were released on Promises to Appear. Charges for possession of stolen property are pending.
Despite the arrests, the investigation is still ongoing and the Okotoks RCMP wish to thank the public and media for their assistance.
