I’m fully committed to the Christmas season after putting up the Christmas lights on our house last weekend.
My family has been begging me to go buy fancy new LED lights. Unfortunately for them, I went to the “waste not, want not” school and I just can’t rationalize discarding perfectly good Christmas lights. Sure, the burned out bulbs have been replaced so many times that the multi-colour pattern is no longer discernible but they still cast a warm and festive incandescent glow.
Typically I would just string up the old lights on the main floor eaves and call it a day.
This year my oldest daughter Ava helped and things improved significantly. She was a natural at installing the lights on the eaves. While she was doing that, I set out the projector and inflatable decorations.
I even put some lights out on the back deck! I feel like the Chevy Chase character, Clark Griswold from National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation.

The Big Rock Singers Very Canadian Christmas concert was fantastic! We took in the show on Saturday night and the whole family really enjoyed it. Having a bake sale at the concert is absolutely brilliant. Great job once again Big Rock Singers!
