Afternoon tea with the duchess was an elegant affair. The costumes and hats were intriguing and I wasn’t aware that I liked cucumber sandwiches. You’re never too old to try something new. Stop by and see what a great job Garden Care did on the trees, especially the lilacs. Thanks to the Garden Club for winterizing the planters. Everything should...

October 27th will be a night that will give us an idea on the future of the PC party and their dominance in Alberta. There will be four byelections held, including one with our new Premier Jim Prentice running in Calgary Foothills and a battle in Calgary Elbow for the seat vacated by the last premier, Allison Redford.
Beginner bridge lessons will be offered at our club starting Oct. 9 from 7 p.m. to 9 a.m. For more information call Steve at 403-933-5757 or stop by and put your name on the list. The cost is $20 for six lessons.

I think we can all agree the leadership race itself lacked any kind of pizzaz, and garnered little interest as was shown in the low vote count. Now, I don’t know Mr. Prentice very well, I think we have to...
Well you could have knocked me over with a feather. Last week I couldn’t wait any longer so I headed out to see the new field house at the Aldersyde lights on Highway 7. The facility was built on a shared basis by the MD and the Town of Okotoks. High River was asked to be a part of it but decided...
