Coun. Oliver Hallmark stops by 21 Elizabeth Street in Okotoks on Feb. 29 for the grand opening of the storefront that's home to four businesses.

A bigger location has allowed four Okotoks business to team up and operate together.

Ladies and kids clothing, custom cakes and cookies and a hair salon are now under one roof at 21 Elizabeth St. in Olde Towne Okotoks.

Sweet Threads on Main, a children’s clothing store, and Salt and Lime Cloth Bar, offering higher-end women’s clothing, had already been together in one storefront but needed more space, explained Salt and Lime co-owner Dana Morey.

“This space that we're in now, on Elizabeth Street, came up and we just kind of jumped on it,” Morey said. “It was such a good location, not far from where we were.”

A grand opening was held at the new location last month, and Morey said things have been going well since the move.

“I think it's starting to get busier now that the weather's changing,” she said.

Sweet Threads on Main and Salt and Lime are joined in the new location by Underground Styles Hair Salon and Ginger & Spice Cakery, a bakery specializing in custom cakes, cookies and baked goods.

Kristin Tunke, who co-owns Salt and Lime, said the new space is brighter than the former one on McRae Street.

“Okotoks has great foot traffic downtown,” Tunke said. “It’s nice to have the bigger windows.”

Sweet Threads on Main is a children’s clothing boutique and candy store that opened in 2019.
