Six mystery scratch ticket winners, including one from the Foothills area, will have a chance for greater winnings at an event in Edmonton on May 2.

Someone from the Foothills is among mystery winners in Alberta that have a chance to win some serious dough at an event in Edmonton on Thursday.

Six people across the province have won big on Plinko, the Big Spin and Bigger Spin lottery scratch tickets, the WCLC said.

“These winners now have the chance to spin a giant wheel or play Plinko for real,” WCLC said.

Players selected can walk away with prizes of $500,000 or $1 million during an event at Century Casino in Edmonton on May 2.

In addition to a lottery player from the Foothills, other mystery winners hail from Lac La Biche, Vermilion, Smoky Lake, Eckville and Plamondon, the WCLC said.

Identities of the players and the results of the contest will be released after the event, WCLC said.
