A young woman was killed when she lost control of an SUV she was driving just east of the Dunbow Road and 80 Street intersection in the Davisburg area Monday morning.
Emergency Medical Services from Okotoks arrived at the scene shortly before 8 a.m. and determined the driver lost control of the vehicle – possibly rolling it — and was ejected from the SUV.
Paramedics estimated the driver’s age at 20 years old.
There were no witnesses to the incident, however, someone reported hearing the collision from a residence. There was substantial damage noted to the SUV and significant debris around the scene.
RCMP are investigating the fatal accident. It has not yet been determined if the deceased was wearing a seat belt.
