Trucks stolen, valuables taken from unlocked vehicles

Okotoks RCMP are reminding people to keep their vehicles locked after two trucks were stolen and valuables were taken from several others earlier this week.

Sometime during the evening and overnight hours between May 23 and 24, suspects were able to get into several vehicles in the Thorson and Sheep River areas of town.

Two trucks were stolen, in both cases the keys were left in the vehicle. As well, a number of various items were stolen from inside the vehicles.

Police state the vehicles that were targeted were either left unlocked on had keys present.

RCMP urge people to remove all valuables from their vehicles and ensure they are locked to prevent theft.
