Dear Editor,
Is there no person in the MD who is worried that the proposed K-9 school is to be built on a truck route adjacent to a secondary highway? 32 Street has a long term plan to be a four-lane road. The town in growing rapidly and 32 Street is one of two north south roadways across town. Traffic on this truck route will only increase as the retail area near Costco expands.
Traffic congestion already occurs when the high school lets out what will happen when there are two schools?
The vehicles required to use the truck route will become frustrated with traffic delays.
When drivers exit highways sometimes they underestimate their speed which could cause a serious incident with young children possibly crossing the roadways.
Do we really want young children in such a high traffic area?
Its seems to me like there should be a lower traffic area to build a school!
