Okotoks RCMP are looking to identify a suspicious man who approached a young girl over the weekend.

On Nov. 15 at about 10:30 a.m., a man approached a 10-year-old girl near Bannister Drive and asked if she could help him empty out the trunk of his vehicle.

The girl refused and after the man made a second, more forceful request she ran to her grandmother’s house nearby.

The man is described as Caucasian, approximately 50 years old, five-feet-eight-inches tall, with short white hair and a white goatee. A partial tattoo was visible on the back, right side of his neck.

He was driving a black SUV and RCMP say the license plate includes the letters “TEAL.”

Police would like to speak to the man and are asking anyone who may have witnessed this incident to contact the Okotoks detachment at 403-995-6400 or Crimestoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
