High River RCMP say suspects believed to be involved in a theft of power tools from the Peavy Mart in town may have struck another nearby business soon after.

At approximately 8:30 a.m. on Jan. 9, two males entered the High River UFA Farm and Ranch Store. Video surveillance shows the two males putting several items in their pockets and then leaving the store.

An RCMP press release says the two males were seen driving around the yard at the store in a white Chevrolet or GMC pick up truck before entering the business.

Police say the suspects are believed to be the same individuals behind a theft at the Peavey Mart the same morning at 8 a.m.

High River RCMP say surveillance video in the business caught the man unboxing a Milwaukee drill and tucking it into his coveralls before leaving the store and getting into a pickup truck left running nearby.

Witnesses at the scene estimated the suspect to be between the age of 25 to 30 years old, approximately five-feet, ten-inches tall with a slim build. No description of the getaway driver could be obtained.

Anyone with information is asked to contact High River RCMP at 403-652-2357.
