State of shock and disbelief

My thoughts and prayers are with all of the Las Vegas shooting victims and their families. I am still in a state of shock and disbelief that there was someone in this world who would attack so many innocent strangers for no apparent reason.

That was a wild blast of winter on Monday!

It was a scramble to get all of t he snow pants, winter boots, etc, out of storage for the kids to wear to school.

It wouldn’t have been so bad except that wind was just wicked.

Glennda, who works in sales at the Western Wheel, left for work in the morning as usual but didn’t complete the trip until about 1 p.m.

The road was so icy that her car slowly slid into the ditch as she was trying to stop for other vehicles that had collided on the road.

She wasn’t lonely as many other vehicles were in the ditch with her. It sounds like she made some friends out there, she even paid for the tow truck to pull a young man’s vehicle out of the ditch who didn’t have any money.

What makes this story even more interesting is that Monday was Glennda’s birthday!

I guess this is what happens after you’ve worked at the same place for a while.

I was eating at a fast-food restaurant when an employee began his shift by walking into the kitchen area and calling out, “Honey, I’m home!”
