The Magic of Christmas once again had a very successful, blessed day of delivering joy and gifts to over 130 families in the Foothills area.
We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to all of those who contributed in any way, including toys, sewing bags for the backpacks, monetary donations (wow we are so amazed) and through the Western Wheel Cares Campaign.
Many thanks to our volunteers for wrapping gifts, becoming elves on the delivery buses and to the Santas who provided joy on this special day.
The Magic of Christmas committee is very grateful to Southland Transportation Okotoks for providing the buses and gas for the day.
The drivers volunteer their time and Southland has been a significant supporter for many years.
Thanks to St. James Parish for the use of its hall where all the Magic begins to come together – wrapping the gifts.
And a final BIG shout out to St. John Paul II Collegiate for the donation of over 490 backpacks that were given to every man, woman and child over five years old.
May the blessings of the season be spread throughout our communities.
