Rural mail address changes frustrating

Dear Editor, I write this letter on behalf of all the residents in the DeWinton area that are not getting their mail delivered. Canada Post, in their infinite wisdom, has changed our address.

Dear Editor,

I write this letter on behalf of all the residents in the DeWinton area that are not getting their mail delivered. Canada Post, in their infinite wisdom, has changed our address.

As part of this endeavor new mailboxes have been implemented. The problem lies in the fact that hundreds of us were never sent the new addressing information nor were we sent new keys to our new mailbox.

As of Oct. 17, mail stopped being delivered to the old boxes.

In the meantime, no one seems to know where our mail is or if it will ever be delivered and they don’t have new keys for me that I can pick up. Not only that, but they don’t seem to care and will not give me contact information of the ‘supervisor’ responsible. The hand written message I had to leave has not been responded to. In their complete and utter confusion they’ve probably sent the new information along with the new keys to the new mail box, of which I don’t have access to.

Is it not a legal right as a tax paying citizen of this great country to have our mail delivered by this stellar government organization?
