Dear Editor,
I want to congratulate Shannon Kleibrink and all the organizers that worked so hard to bring the Masters Curling event to Okotoks. I am certain that all the businesses in this area benefited, especially the restaurants and hotels which I suspect saw a much needed increase in their revenue which was really needed as the economic climate has hurt all businesses in this area. In addition, our town really got a PR boost as the television broadcasts of this very high profile curling event which brought in the worlds best curling teams was seen right across Canada. Good for the Town of Okotoks to run several TV ads which will have put our beautiful not so little town on the map. I am certain all the curlers and spectators who travelled to this area for this well organized sports event will have left this area with a positive attitude of Okotoks.
