Gentleman curling fans can get tested for prostate cancer as they watch some of the best in the world hit the ice.
The MAN VAN is at the Pason Centennial Arena this afternoon until 2 p.m. during the WFG Masters offering free baseline PSA (Prostate Specific Antigen) blood tests to men over the age of 40. Free blood pressure, blood glucose and BMI (Body Mass Index) measurements are also available to all men over 18.
The PSA test is a simple blood test that helps in the early detection of prostate cancer. PSA is a protein produced by the prostate and released in small amounts to the bloodstream. The amount of PSA in the bloodstream can often predict a man’s risk of prostate cancer.
