Letters of kindness

If everyone acted with kindness in every interaction the quality of life on earth would increase exponentially. In general, we hear about all of the awful things. Murders, child abuse, war and terrorism.

If everyone acted with kindness in every interaction the quality of life on earth would increase exponentially. In general, we hear about all of the awful things. Murders, child abuse, war and terrorism. We don’t always hear about all of the wonderful things. Generosity, friendship, kindness and assistance.

Letters to the Editor have always been a powerful platform for political and social discourse that has helped to shape the role of government, personal freedoms and economic development. Letters to the Editor often provide a differing point of view that expands our perception of the issues. At the Western Wheel we are grateful for the letters to the Editor that we receive and we take pride in being the communication vehicle that provides your point of view to a large audience.

I feel blessed to be living in a place full of kind people who seek out opportunities to help others. The acts of kindness happening in our community on a daily basis has been our inspiration for the newest addition to the Western Wheel Weekend; Letters of Kindness. Letters to the Editor will remain in the Western Wheel.

Do you have a story about a person or group of people who have done something kind for you or someone you know? The Western Wheel would be pleased to share your story in the Western Wheel Weekend edition. Please send Letters of Kindness to [email protected]. Letters must include your name, address and telephone number, are restricted to a 400-word maximum and may be edited for content.

Your letters will inspire by shining a bright light on the goodness in our world. This could become a powerful platform in our society, much in the same way as Letters to the Editor.

I can’t wait to share your letters with a large audience.
