Kindness prevails in the Foothills

Dear Editor,

It is great to know that old fashioned kindness prevails in your community.

We would like to thank all those who stopped to help us when our truck broke down in Highway 7 at the traffic lights. So many stopped to ask if they could help. Truck breakdowns are one thing, but when you are trailering a horse at the same time, it gets complicated.

Thank you Paul for parking your truck behind the trailer and putting on your flashers to warn approaching vehicles. You were there for a long time!

Thank you to Brooker for coming to the rescue and hauling horse and trailer to a safe place while our truck was hauled in the opposite direction.

Thank you Annie and Luis for stopping and offering “bale and breakfast” for our mare Iris.

And, last but certainly not least, many thanks to my sister Alison for quarterbacking this event and chauffeuring us about.

Klaus and Mary Lee Schurmann

Raymond, Ab.
