Tails will be wagging on June 11 as High Country residents support their pooches in a dual-fundraiser.

Millarville Community School students Becky and Sarah Levine are hosting ARF-Walk to raise money for the Animal Rescue Foundation.

Participants will begin at Millennium Park in Turner Valley at 11 a.m. and walk along the three-kilometre Friendship Trail to Black Diamond.

Upon arriving in Black Diamond, they can pay $3 for a hot dog and pop at Country Food Mart AG Foods with proceeds going to the Millarville Community School Grade 8 graduation this month.

Participants then head back to Turner Valley to participate in various activities starting at 12:30 p.m.

“It’s going to be lots of fun and we hope to get many people to come out,” said Becky. “You don’t even have to have a dog to participate.”

Participants are encouraged to collect pledges or make a donation.
