Okotoks RCMP stepped in to help Calgary police arrest a pair of suspects in a stolen vehicle case.

On Oct. 15 around 2 p.m. Okotoks RCMP officers received a request to help the Calgary Police Service HAWCS helicopter when a stolen F-150 pickup truck entered the town.

Okotoks police located the vehicle on Northridge Drive and attempted to stop it.

The pick-up truck fled south on North/Southridge Drive before eventually stopping and the occupants fled the scene on foot.

Two individuals were located and arrested without incident.

“Nobody was injured and the prisoners were handed over to Calgary City Police,” said Okotoks RCMP Sgt. Sukh Randhawa.

Charges are pending against a 35-year-old male and a 32-year-old female. Both are of no fixed address.
