Plans have changed for Monday’s Birth of a Nation celebration in Turner Valley. An article in the April 4 edition of the Western Wheel reported the Legion Colour Party, RCMP, firefighters, ladies auxiliary and elected officials will be in attendance, but Linda Macaulay, first vice-president of the Legion, has informed the Wheel that these groups are unable to attend.

A dinner to honour veterans will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion Turner Valley Branch #78 to celebrate Vimy Day with cocktails at 4 p.m. and dinner at 5 p.m. The event is invitation only and more than 60 veterans from across the region are expected to attend.
