Back in jail this weekend

It has been a year since you helped bail me out. I’ll be locked up again this Saturday, May 13 at the Market Square Jail and Bail fundraiser for the Okotoks Food Bank. I won’t walk free again unless I raise $1,500 bail money. Please help.

It has been a year since you helped bail me out.

I’ll be locked up again this Saturday, May 13 at the Market Square Jail and Bail fundraiser for the Okotoks Food Bank.

I won’t walk free again unless I raise $1,500 bail money.

Please help. All of the bail money raised is for the Okotoks Food Bank. Please stop by the Foothills Centennial Centre on May 13 sometime between 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. to make a bail donation in person.

If you would like to donate online, please include my name in the message box of the donation at this web address. https://www.canadahelps.org/en/charities/okotoks-inter-faith-food-bank/

Any donation, big or small, will help the Okotoks Food Bank continue to do the great work that they do and will help me to enjoy the rest of the weekend as a free person.

Last year I didn’t pay close enough attention and I had it in my head that all my bail fundraising had to happen while I was in jail.

I walked in with zero dollars. I soon realized that my fellow jailbirds had already done major fundraising and were at or beyond the bail amount.

I think that the people I called for donations could hear the panic in my voice because they were so generous.
