The Okotoks Recreation Centre will once again be the site for the 23rd annual Okotoks Pro Rodeo.

The Rodeo will take place Friday and Saturday at 7 p.m. Sundays performance will be at 1 p.m.

Along with all the usual events, including Mutton Bustin and the Wild Pony Race, there will also be a feature presentation by Niki Flundra titled ďUnbridled.Ē She will have horses perform by voice and hand commands.

I am told it is a great display to see.

The Rodeo dance will take place on Saturday evening at 9:30 p.m. and we will dance to the music of TC & Company.

Donít forget your two steppin boots.

It is funny how we often hear about how the Canada Pension Fund is going to run out of money but we never hear about all the free money given out by our governments every year.

If CPP goes broke I guess we line up for the free money?

I recently received my house insurance renewal in the mail.

You could have knocked me over with a feather when I saw that my sewer back up insurance has increased from $70 to over $1500.

I never ever made a claim on a sewer back up but I guess we all have to pay for the floods?

It is really too bad that the rates have gone this crazy because lots of people will not be able to afford it and more homeowners will not carry the insurance.

What a wreck that will be next time! So sit down before you look at your next renewal.
