This is the weekend of the 107th Priddis & Millarville Fair.
Itís a full day of fun for the whole family at the Millarville Race Track beginning with the farmersí market in the morning, followed by all the trappings of a true country fair.
Go check it out. I guarantee you will have a fun-filled day.
Floor curling will resume at the VNC on Sept. 8.
The organizers are making up the teams and would appreciate knowing if previous participants are coming back for another year and welcoming new players.

Our reunion trip to B.C. was so much fun.
Thirty-six of Chuckís relatives attended the reunion, including his 91-year-old sister from Victoria who made the trip in fine form.
The blackberries were everywhere and, as no one enjoys berry picking more than I do, I picked gallons. I priced them when I got home and they are $3.29 for 6 ozs.
I think my blackberry jam is going to be finger-lickiní good.
The Foothills Highland Games will be held at the Foothills Composite High School on Aug. 23. The gates open at 7 a.m. Admission is $10, children under six years are free and a family pass is $25.
Friday was a fun day for the kids at the Dr. Lander Memorial Outdoor Swimming Pool. The guest speakers were Laureen Harper, Mayor Kelly Tuck, Sandra Farr-Jones and Larry Maloney. We stayed for cake and a look at the many photograph albums and to chat with friends.
We are all so thankful that the water restrictions have been modified to level two. We must still be careful with our precious commodity and I, for one, have learned several ways to conserve water and will continue to do so.
