On Wednesday evening few weeks ago, an unknown neighbour on Downey Road observed a woman disposing a purse in their garbage and took the time to investigate, retrieve my purse and call the RCMP. On Thursday morning I had things to do and could not find my purse anywhere. My husband and two friends helped me look on two levels of our home. No Purse! Then I received a call from the RCMP telling me that they had my purse and could I describe one of the friends who had just helped me look for my purse.

Our descriptions matched and the proof was in the pudding, so to speak. The return of my purse showed that the only missing item, of course, was the money. More importantly, all of my ID, cards, keys and most importantly 2 irreplaceable items (a leather change purse from my Grammy and a leather card holder from a recently deceased friend) were returned.

It hurt to realize that a friend had stolen my purse, money and trust, but, you dear neighbour returned part of my trust in friends, known & unknown. Thank you very much for everything you did.
