Interesting to see that the province has decided to invest 18 million into the restoration of the two golf courses in the Kananaskis. Of the 36 holes all but four need to be rebuilt. I have mixed emotions on this one as I know what a fantastic tourist boom it can be but the experts do say that the area will flood again. Is it worth the gamble? Only time will tell.

Did you know the Okotoks Indoor Rodeo will be held this year on August 29, 30 and 31st. This year instead of the Queen contest a special act will be performed that shows the intelligence of the horse.

This will be worth the price of admission alone! Better mark the date down now so when tickets become available you will be ready.

As you can see as you drive around the countryside haying is in full swing. Many are now done and I am told there are some record tonnages being recorded. Lots of hay and great livestock prices should have our rancher friends in a pretty good mood!

Did you know:

Death is the number one killer in the world.

Give a person a fish and you feed them for a day. Teach a person to use the internet and they wonít bother you for weeks, months, maybe years.

In the í60s people took acid to make the world weird. Now the world is weird, and people take Prozac to make it normal.

I saw this somewhere and just came across it in a file:

When the power of Love overcomes the Love of power, the world will know peace.
