Once Alberta Environment gives its stamp of approval for a pipeline from Aldersyde the Wind Walk development will be almost ready to go. The Town received poor advice from their lawyers and spent way to much time and money fighting the development all the way to the Supreme Court. Now we have little chance of annexation for this development, at least over the foreseeable future, so letís move on.

Kiss annexation and development south of Highway 7 goodbye and move on to the annexation areas in the north and east of Okotoks. We need to work hand in hand with the MD in these areas and work at building a stronger relationship with their decision makers. It will be time well spent as we move forward.

The Okotoks Food Bank had a great official opening at its new quarters on Monday. Mayor Bill Robertson and several young people did a great job of telling some history and cutting a ribbon made from canned food labels. Congratulations Food Bank on your new home.
