Public has had enough of political promises

Dear Editor,

The Progressive Conservative leadership circus is off and running. Some credible candidates who have been mentioned have already nixed their names from the list.

I guess they were smart enough to know where this is going. It looks like the Same Ole Same Ole gang with the odd name thrown in for entertainment purposes.

Well I wish them luck ó they are going to need it.

I know The Wildrose Party is wringing its hands with anticipation, but I wouldnít get excited just yet.

The Wildrose Party has done an excellent job of bashing the Conservatives, but the question is what would The Wildrose Party do if they were in power?

How would they skirt around the labour laws in reference to severance, how would they handle the pension pay outs, how would they handle a rogue MLA refusing to tow party line?

I know my Wildrose MLA in my area promised good communications, I have never got a mail out, info, policy platform, updates on party functions, area political news, basically nothing.

Having a web page is not communication. Communication is moving out into the communities, special functions, coffee shops, hospitals, seniors homes to name a few. Come on out, we donít bite.

The reason for a low turn out of voters at the polls is that Albertans are sick and tired of politicians knocking on our door every four years feeding us a load of horsemuffins knowing they canít fill the promise.

What Albertans are looking for is honesty, tell us the truth for a change, we can take it. Do what you say you are going to do. If any one knows of such a person please apply to your local political party.
