Our executive meeting agenda was fairly lengthy. We are delighted to welcome two new directors and a new vice-president to our team.

Margaret Rarick and Dale Shingler have volunteered to fill two of the positions left vacant by the untimely loss of our little Marie.

Mark your calendar for the Easter potluck and silent auction on April 6.

You may bring your silent auction items to the club any time the doors are open, which is most days with the exception of Tuesday and Wednesday mornings and Thursday afternoons (and weekends, of course).

Itís not too soon to start thinking about our annual 80 and over birthday party, set for May 25.

Please make us aware of anyone in the area with a significant birthday in 2014.

You do not have to be a VNC member; anyone in the area is welcome.

There is also a sign-up sheet on our bulletin board.

Please ensure that we have your name, phone number, birth year and mailing address.

I have been watching daily for the return of our resident eagles, but to no avail. My neighbour reported a sighting of one lone eagle enjoying the thermals one windy day last week.

Donít forget this is daylight savings time weekend.

Turn your clocks ahead an hour on March 9. You donít want to walk into church an hour late.
