Dear Editor,

After reading Jan. 22 edition of the Western Wheel I became exited with the news of the possiblity of chickens being allowed to be raised in Black Diamond and Turner Valley.

CLUCKS idea should get approval from these councils asap. This would clear the way for my plan of raising pigs. My neighbours at first had concerns with regards to natural predators. Cougars, coyotes, skunks, foxess but I assured them that pigs would defend themselves better than chickens. We discussed how they both are presumed to have health issues. Even though there has been lots of flus attached to these animals I believe this is a bad rap on them. So lets put that in the past and get on with the prospect of home grown bacon and eggs.
