The Longview Library is bringing in the New Year with two exciting programs that will be of interest to all.

The first will be E-Books at Your Library, which will show you how to search for, borrow and download e-books onto your e- reader, using your library card. This is a one time opportunity, so please sign up or call the library at 403-558-3927. It will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 25 from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. There is a large selection of downloadable books from which to choose.

New! Your Library is Mobile is the second offering. Your tablet gives you mobile access to several library services. Whether Apple or Android, you can enjoy e-books through Overdrive or Freading. You can also learn a new language with Mango, or download music with Freegal. You will learn how to do all this at the library, on Thursday Feb. 27 from 11 a.m to noon.

New books in the library are: The Invention of Wings by Sue Monk Kidd, Radiance of Tomorrow by Ismael Beah, and Ranching in God's Country-The Waldron Grazing Co-op by Doug Nelson.

Id like to introduce you to an author that is new to me. Lauren B. Davis writes with intelligence and sensitivity, and is one of those writers who leaves you a better and more compassionate person for having read her.

Happy reading!
