Dear Editor,

Thanks to the Town of Okotoks, our street in Cimarron (not a primary route) was cleared twice after the big snowfall in December. I was quite disappointed to see neighbours shoveling their snow onto the street which caused several cars to get stuck. I contacted Okotoks Municipal Enforcement and they confirmed the traffic bylaw and the Highway Development and Protection Act prohibit the depositing of any material that may affect the proper use of roadway. They said if you see someone placing snow on the road please contact their office and they will speak with the offender. I won’t be that neighbour who calls, but someone else might be. Please put your snow in your yard, it's good for your lawn and safer for all drivers including you and your loved ones. Much obliged.
