The clerk at the Okotoks FasGas is in hospital after being stabbed during a robbery at the station on Sept. 20 and Okotoks RCMP are searching for a suspect.
At approximately 8 p.m. on Friday Okotoks RCMP responded to a complaint of robbery at the FasGas on Northridge Drive in Okotoks.
According to the RCMP a single male suspect driving a black pickup truck pulled in to the gas pumps and filled his vehicle with fuel. He then proceeded into the store, where he wandered through out.
The clerk was behind the counter, when the suspect approached him and stabbed him once in the abdomen. The suspect then fled the scene in his vehicle, heading westbound.
The suspect is described as between 25 and 30 years old, a caucasian male, about five-feet eight inches tall, medium build, dark curly hair, short full face beard and he was wearing a brown hoodie at the time.
The suspect fled the scene in a vehicle described as a black pickup truck, possibly a Chevrolet Sierra.
The victim was transported to Foothills Hospital for treatment.
The investigation is still on going.
In addition, RCMP are seeking another driver who was at the gas station for questioning.
A gold car left the FasGas at approximately 7:50 p.m. heading southbound on Northridge Drive.
