Children enjoyed dogs at the show and shine event

How traumatic it must have been for our illustrious publisher to have witnessed a pair of three foot high canines in the midst of the open streets of our fair town.
Imagine, in the thick of the masses, two purebred Great Danes milling about and detracting from the main event itself.
And of all the children who wanted to pet these graceful creatures, as well as hoping to ride them, only Paul seemingly expressed fear.
Rest easy dear publisher, as the owners of these two gentle giants, we can assure you that their certification as therapy dogs who specialize in this very town’s child focused Literacy for Life program pretty much precludes their moniker as public hazards.
Especially when on the required six-foot leash.
Unlike a plethora of two legged unleashed six footers, these two have never: been behind the wheel while impaired, been in possession of a weapon dangerous to the public, used extreme force to take anyone into custody, been cited for loud and obnoxious behavior.
We would be more than happy to bring Scooby and Marmaduke down to your office for a therapy session if you think it would help soothe things over because unfounded fears are not a great emotion to harbour.
Besides which, they’ll likely be back to the next event.
We wouldn't want to disappoint the kids now would we?
