A A

I am so thrilled, I’ve seen my first sign of spring. My neighbours have a new baby calf in their herd. My next sign of spring will be the V formation of the geese heading north. Joe tells me the bluebirds will be back on March 15, or has he got that confused with the swallows at Capistrano?

The next VNC executive meeting will be following line dancing at noon on Feb. 28, and the general meeting will be on March 7 at 1 p.m. We have a new secretary, folks, so come out and support your new executive. We are trying to get a representative from 55 and over to attend, as well, but haven’t had any success to date.

Mark your calendar for a St. Patrick’s bridge tournament at the Friendship Center in High River on March 14. Lunch at 11:30 a.m. and the cost is $15. There will be door, score and slam prizes as well as a 50/50 draw. For tickets or further information call Carol (652-2999) or Lee (652-2791).

I did not submit the final paragraph of my Feb. 20 column. My friend John will have to take the flack for this one.

Don’t forget the bus will pick us up at VNC at 5 p.m. for Stage West on March 6.
