Camera club hosts free slide show of AfricaBy: By Muriel Dais | Posted: Thursday, Jan 24, 2013 06:18 pm The Turner Valley Camera Club invites everyone to attend the first in the 2013 series of free slide shows on Jan. 25. David Richardson will take us with him on his 2012 photographic journey through much of Africa. The program will begin at 7:30 p.m. Coffee and snacks will be served. The Sheep Creek Arts Council gallery is located at 133 Sunset Blvd. at the east end of the Valley Neighbours’ Club. The camera club, now entering its 50th year, is one of the oldest clubs making up the Sheep Creek Arts Council. Its regular meetings take place the fourth Tuesday of each month from September through May. Membership is $20 per year and includes membership in the arts council. Richard Mowry is the newly elected president of the camera club, He has announced the 2013 series of photographic journeys will be shown the last Friday of each month through April 26.
