Valley Neighbours Club newsBy: By Laura Hayward | Posted: Wednesday, Jan 23, 2013 06:00 am Our exercise program on Tuesday mornings is going very well. We had 17 participants last week’. I hope you all read John Barlow’s article in the Jan. 11 edition of The Weekend. It was an excellent article. If you haven’t read it, I have put a copy in the history book. The annual general meeting will be on Jan. 24. Potluck at noon and meeting at 1 p.m. Please come out and support your new executive. The line dancers will dance from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. that morning to accommodate setup for the potluck luncheon. The Sheep River Library will feature “Authors Among Us” on Feb. 2, from noon to 4 p.m. There will be book signings, prizes and refreshments Our club now has a receptacle for used reading and/or prescription glasses. Please drop them off anytime the club is open, which is most any weekday. The Lion’s eye bank would be most appreciative. Thank you for all the wonderful birthday wishes. What a great day, I guess getting old has its perks. We send our condolences to June MacGillivray on the passing of her brother and also to the families of Phyllis Parker and Herb Padwick.
