Winners of the Okotoks Rotary Soap Box Derby gathered after their gruelling day of racing to receive their special trophies. The Soap Box Derby was a roaring success as more drivers competed this year. 				                  photo by Cindy Ballance    The paint on the soap boxes was fresh, the smiles on the faces of the drivers were excitable, the lines for the derby were lightly dusted on the road and the sun shone.

This was the atmosphere during the annual Okotoks Rotary Soap Box Derby held on Saturday in Okotoks.

Drivers in their freshly painted outfits gathered to roar down Crystalridge Drive at a chance to win the trophy.

The results of this year's derby are as follows:

1st place -- Brady Gillingham, A&S Mechanical Ltd.
2nd place -- Crystal Shapka, Canada Safeway.
3rd place -- Andrew Bruce, Brushstrokes.
4th place -- Alaine Palmer, Coultry LeClair.
