Valley Neighbours’ News
By Laura Hayward
I have a huge flock of redpolls at my feeder. Perhaps this will be the winter that they are plentiful. Some winters we see very few.
Something is certainly taking advantage of the suet feeder, but I have a feeling it is the magpies. I have a black squirrel, there are lots of deer tracks and my neighbour saw two moose earlier this week, so the wild things are getting through the winter.
Whist will resume on Jan. 5 and the line dancers will have a post Christmas luncheon after dancing on Jan. 7. If you have danced with us this year, please come and join us. Most of our other activities carried on as usual over the holidays.
I am so grateful for all your prayers for our new little baby boy. He arrived at 29 weeks on Dec. 23. He only weighs 3 lbs 3 oz, but he is doing well. The best Christmas present ever. Holly is fine and will stay in Calgary until he can be transferred to the Lethbridge neonatal.
