News from the VNC

Six of our members travelled to Canmore on Monday to attend Okotoks and District’s bridge getaway. We had a super time. There will be another in the fall.  Think about attending because it is especially beautiful in Canmore in autumn.
The Jane Harris floor curling trophy bonspiel will be April 28, May 5 and 12. May 12 will be the wind-up of organized curling until September. 
There will be a pot luck luncheon held following the final morning of curling.  Floor curling will continue over the summer on a pick-up basis if there is interest in doing this.
Mark your calendar for May 7 at 9 a.m., this is clean-up day at the club. We would appreciate as many hands as possible; many hands make short work.
Our final day of line dancing culminated in a delicious lunch and an opportunity for a pleasant visit. We’ll resume line dancing Sept. 25.
Two functions to look forward to:  The opening luncheon at Turner Valley Golf Club will be at noon on April 30, with bridge to follow. The second is Okotoks and District’s bridge luncheon at noon on May 10. I have tickets for both of these social affairs. We will carpool from VNC on May 10, leaving at 11:20 a.m.
Wasn’t that a storm?  But don’t rule out another one in May, it seems to be a pattern in our Foothills.
