Okotoks RCMP are hoping thieves who broke into a downtown department store did not go unnoticed.
The Fields store was the target of a break and enter in the early morning hours of March 15. The glass in the front door was broken as was a storage cabinet in the store’s office.
Greg Crowder, Fields general manager, said the cost of the damage was minimal.
“Unfortunately in today’s day and age it is part of doing business,” Crowder said.
Fields operates 160 stores from Ontario east, but most stores are in Alberta.
“There have been a half dozen incidents in the past year,” Crowder said. “We are just happy when none of our associates are impacted, except for the inconvenience.”
Anyone with information is asked to call the Okotoks RCMP at 938-7046 or Crimestoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
