Crimestoppers

 



During the early morning hours of Wednesday, Feb. 27, 2008, a 2005 Yamaha TTR dirt bike was stolen from the box of a pickup truck parked on Alberta Avenue in Okotoks. The off-road dirt bike is blue and white in colour and in new condition. Okotoks RCMP are requesting the assistance of the public to locate the dirt bike.
Theft of Ford truck
The Okotoks RCMP are presently investigating the theft of a maroon 2004 Ford F-250 and mischief to a white 2003 Ford F-350. Sometime between the evening of Feb. 9, 2008 and the morning of Feb. 10, 2008, unknown person(s) stole one truck and damaged the other in the Cimarron area of Okotoks. The truck has not been recovered and is bearing Alberta licence plate LUW 387. At this time, the person(s) responsible for the theft are unknown.



Between the hours of 8 a.m. and 1 p.m. on Friday, Jan 11, 2008 an unknown person or persons stole a new model, silver Yamaha ATV out of the back of a pickup truck that was parked in the open parking lot behind the Fountain Tire store in Okotoks. It appeared that the suspect or suspects backed their vehicle up to the vehicle containing the Yamaha ATV, cut the hold-down straps, rolled the ATV into their vehicle and drove away.
Dental office break-in
Between the hours of 5:30 p.m. and 7 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 10, 2008 an unknown person or persons forcibly gained entry to the office of Absolute Dentistry located at 15 McRae Street. The unknown person(s) accessed the petty cash box and stole an undisclosed amount of cash. The person(s) also tried to gain access to the office of Dr. Simon James, but were unsuccessful.
Solar lights stolen
Sometime overnight on Sept. 18, 2007 solar lights were stolen and damaged from a residence just west of 48th Street West. The solar lights have a black stock, plastic cover, slight black overhang and a solar panel on the top. The suspects took the time to detach each solar light from the fence post to which they had been tied.



The Okotoks RCMP are investigating damage to a mailbox in the rural area near Rocky Mountain Ranch. On Sept. 10, 2007 residents who use the mail box on 6th Avenue West in front of the Rocky Mountain Ranch were unable to get their mail. The mailbox had been damaged and then tossed over the fence into the field with the buffalo.
Break-in at Aldersyde
In the early evening hours of Feb. 14, 2008 Advantage Tower in Aldersyde was broken into. Several items went missing from the shop area of the business and vehicles located in the yard were broken into.
